Hi, I'm Mark.
I've spent the last decade designing digital products and leading teams, but the throughline has stayed the same: I like making complex systems feel calm and obvious. Today, I shape membership and pre-purchase experiences across markets, balancing local needs with global consistency. Previously, I built and led a design team, raising the bar on process and shipping quality. I've also moved between UX/UI design and product management in my early career, learning how strategy and craft reinforce each other.
Outside of product work, I've supported close to 100 career coaching sessions across job search, career transitions, and first-time management with my mentorship program. I also write daily design and career reflections on Threads as @mentor___mark, sharing what I'm learning in public.
“I'm drawn to work where design goes beyond screens — where the real craft is in decision-making, alignment, and the invisible mechanics that turn good ideas into real outcomes.”

Systems thinking
I find clarity in complexity.
- I can hold engineering constraints, user needs, and business goals in the same frame — and turn that into a decision, not just a diagram.
- When a brief is vague, I work backwards from what success actually looks like rather than filling space with process.
- I tend to look for the root of a broken pattern, not just the symptom closest to the deadline.
Reading the room
I notice what’s underneath the stated problem.
- In research, in critique, in how a meeting goes quiet — I pick up on what’s not being said.
- After close to 100 mentorship sessions, I’ve learned that most career problems have a surface layer and a real one. I try to get to the real one.
- I work differently with different people. Not everyone needs the same kind of feedback, and I don’t give it that way.
Grounding the work
I connect what we’re making to why it matters.
- When a roadmap starts to feel arbitrary, it’s usually because the mission got lost somewhere. I help teams find it again.
- I’ve coached senior designers through some of the harder career decisions — role changes, leadership transitions, moments of real uncertainty.
- I think the best design work happens when people understand what they’re actually trying to change, not just what they’re building.
